Dental bridges

Dental bridges are an option to recover more than two missing pieces.
There are two types of bridges:

  • Implant bridges: are those rehabilitations in which the pieces are placed on previously implanted artificial roots. With this option, it is not necessary to carry out any type of modification on the rest of the teeth.
  • Bridges over natural teeth: unlike the previous ones, they are those rehabilitations that are fixed on already existing natural teeth that must be previously carved to fit the new prosthesis. The grinding of adjacent teeth is carried out to achieve a greater grip surface and to provide space for the restorative material.

Both types of bridges are fixed, so they can only be removed in the clinic.
The crowns serve to improve the appearance, shape, alignment and occlusion of the tooth.
