This technology has become a fundamental resource for diagnosis, planning of treatments and presentation of clinical cases.
Scanners allow to see in detail the dental anatomy and its pathologies. Thanks to the enlarged digital images we we detect diseases not visible during routine dental check-ups, which allows us a more complete diagnosis and subsequent treatment.
Is an intra-oral scanner that works by capturing thousands of pictures of the inside of your mouth, and then assembling them into an incredibly accurate 3D model of your mouth, teeth and gums. A scanner that allows us to plan the orthodontic treatment analyzing the teeth of our patients. The scanner uses medical-grade low-radiation lasers to take up to 20 pictures a second of your teeth. We gradually moves and rotates it to be sure to get a complete scan of your whole mouth. As they do this, gradually a 3D model of the inside of your mouth will emerge on the iTero screen. Usually this whole process takes less than 10 minutes.
There are many benefits of using 3D dental scanning technology like iTero, not least because of its speed.

This technology consists in the design and the elaboration of extremely precise dental pieces in just 1 DAY.
The reconstruction process with CAD-CAM technology (CEREC system) has three phases:
1- Scanning of the tooth or dental implant in the model. An intraoral scanner allows us to capture with maximum precision the area to be treated by the patient.
2- Design, through 3D software, of the aesthetic prosthesis. With the digitized image, through state-of-the-art software, we design the piece to be made with great precision.
3- Robotic milling of the piece based on the design information. The milling machine creates a block of the chosen material. In this way we obtain an exact reproduction of the tooth structure in a few minutes.
